“In Edith’s work, stillness has a body. It isn’t emptiness - It’s presence: upright, calm and quietly certain. Her textile sculpture stands like a figure made of breath and light - softly dyed, gently marked and held together with small, seed-like hand stitching, as if growth itself has been carefully threaded into the surface.

In Hiding fruit, Edith offers the viewer a choice: are we looking at colourful fruit hidden beneath a translucent fabric, or fruit frozen under snow? The ambiguity is exactly where silent seeds lives - in what remains under a layer, in what waits, in what is preparing to return.

These works speak softly - and that is why they stay with us.”
