BOOK A PRIVATE STUDIO VISIT

Edith’s studio in West Sussex is open to visitors by appointment.

Located in the garden of her home, it is a hub of creative activity and inspiration where you can view and buy her artwork.

“I have different areas in my studio for different elements of my practice. My sewing machine is in one area for when I am working on my sculpture pieces and I have a table in front of the window I use sometimes when I am painting - I like to work flat, not on an easel…”

sculpture

Edith’s sculpture reflects her American heritage and the related cultural symbolism referencing self and place. Each sculpture is a heart-felt response to the world. Not overthought or intellectualised, the figurative forms inhabit the space between human and other.

painting

Edith’s painting is founded in abstract realism. She uses her favoured medium of oil to describe experiences and places in her own unique style, incorporating stitch like marks and blocks of vibrant colour. Her work is often described as having an infinite quality; taking the viewer beyond the expected.
